Structural Engineer

Job Title: Project EngineerLocation: Monnoyer, Belgium. (Hybrid, 2 Days Onsite/week)Language: English, Dutch OR FrenchDuration: 19/01/2026 - 30/06/2026Job description:The Expert Engineer Structures Calculations is responsible for the engineering of the relevant high-voltage lines and their associated masts/structures within electrical infrastructure projects (380, 220, 150, 70, and 36 kV). This service primarily includes the following tasks: Responsible for the study, design of new masts or adjustments to existing structuresCarrying out specialized calculations, preparing and monitoring the study schedules taking into account customer requirements and questions.Guiding designers in developing calculation models, both for internal employees and external design agenciesPreparing tender dossiers and participating in the purchasing process.Delivery of the produced masts and structures to the manufacturer or in the test environmentTechnical support for on-site implementation and preparation of the work, in collaboration with relevant employees within the Company, as well as project managers, suppliers, contractors, customers, and so on.Monitor quality management, perform audits and reportTake the necessary steps to optimize and implement the calculation rules in the software tools used.The expert engineer will be active within the Engineering department and will be involved in various projects involving new high-voltage pylons and modifications to existing structures.Requirements:Master's degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architecture or master's degree in physicsAffinity for technical detailed studiesKnowledge and experience in designing steel structuresUse of engineering software, 3D, finite element softwareBe familiar with the relevant standards: e.g. EurocodesStrong sense of responsibility and good organizational talentSomeone who can function well in a teamExperience with expertise and/or engineering activity is a plusKnowledge of MsProject, VB.NET, VBA scripting, Fortran is a plus
