Your Scope We are looking for a Operational Coordinator Fruits to join our Group Procurement team in Europe. The Group Procurement department is responsible for external sourcing of frozen fruits, vegetables, and ingredients, as well as for acquired services and packaging for all Ardo factories and locations.Within this department, a specialized team handles the sourcing of frozen fruits and external packing of frozen fruits from suppliers. The Operational Coordinator Fruits will provide essential support throughout the buying process by assisting the Fruits category, the Sourcing Manager Fruits, Purchasing Mgr Fruits and the Supply Chain team Fruits. The role reports to the Sourcing Manager Fruits.Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include Contract Management: You will maintain contracts in our ERP systems incl. SAP. Control execution of contracts with suppliers and maintain sourcing contracts and master data using ERP systems and internal processes. Regular follow up to assure compliance to contracts with vendors. You will support the team in creating clear visibility and reporting around pending contracts. Validate supplier lead times and available capacity to supply the planned orders and report/mitigate supply risks. Maintain clear visibility into contract depletion. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability to supply planned volumes and purchase orders and proactively address potential disruptions. Collaborate with suppliers to align on capacity planning and forecasted demand. Quality & Specs : Support handling/processing of quality/packing specs and other supply/product packing and supply instructions to suppliers Supplier Management: You will directly follow up on operational questions from suppliers, related to contracts status, packing instructions or general progress and availability of sufficient supply from existing contracts. Manage and maintain day-to-day operational vendor relationships with Fruits vendors and Fruits (co)packers. (Co)Packing, bulk and Packaging coordination ; Many of our procured products are packed externally in dedicated packaging materials and in some cases require supply of externally sourced fruit in bulk. You will ensure that the development process and availability of packaging materials and bulk runs smoothly with all suppliers and packing locations across different global regions.You will work closely with colleagues from various departments, including Supply Chain, Sales, Replenishment, Finance, Procurememt Team/Packaging Development, Master Data, and Quality. You will also be in daily contact with suppliers around the world. This position is based in Ardooie, Belgium. Your profile The ideal candidate will have the following expertise, skills, and competencies:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, economics, or business administration.Strong analytical and administrative skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.You are a master of follow-up and you make things happen.You are not afraid to pick up the phone. You are pro-active, hands-on and well able to multi task.Proficiency in English (L4 - full professional proficiency), both written and verbal.Knowledge of Dutch, Spanish, and/or Slavic languages is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, well-organized documents.Strong computer skills. Experience with SAP (or another ERP system) is preferred. A solid understanding of Excel / BI, including pivot tables. Comfortable with data management; large spreadsheets don't intimidate you.A background in (frozen) foods, preferably (frozen) fruits or vegetablesFamiliarity with food procurement processes, vendor management and relevant processes / systemsA people-minded team player. As a key facilitator, you will be the central point of contact for many different departments and external suppliers.
