In 2022, EU Business School joined forces with OMNES Education Group.ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for a Student Affairs Officer for our Geneva campus. The Student Affairs Officer helps new and current students with housing, health insurance, taxes, and the other logistical aspects of living in Geneva as a foreign student. The Student Affairs Officer also supports the Director of Admissions in reviewing and approving applications for the Geneva campus and issuing the provisional acceptance documents. The Student Affairs Officer also supports the Housing Manager to ensure all back-office support and acts as the first contact for student housing support. The Student Affairs Officer reports to the Director of Admissions and serves as back-up when the Director of Admissions is out of the office. The Director of Admissions is also the head of the International Student Office.Key ResponsibilitiesAdmissionsSupports the Director of Admissions in her role to ensure the proper functioning of all online software and databases used in student affairs processes (housing and visa tracking), including Microsoft CRM and the gsBase (student database).Receives and reviews application files from the Recruitment Team and prepares and sends the provisional acceptance documents.Prepare and execute pre-departure webinars and the Admissions/Student Affairs presentations of the Orientation Week.As necessary, be prepared to support the Admissions Team with calls and walk-in visits to campus from prospective students.Student AffairsAssists all students who require a visa to come and study in Switzerland in the visa application process from initial contact to the final confirmation. Back up in assisting European nationals in directly applying for his or her residence permit. Back up in assisting in permit application and renewal process throughout a student’s entire academic study.Assist students in obtaining mandatory health insurance coverage in Switzerland. Serve as POC to the health insurance companies that provide insurance to our students (ScoreStudies, SwissCare). Work with the SAM (Health insurance department for the canton of Geneva) when necessary to obtain the dispensation for insurance coverage.Provide various other support to students residing in Geneva: tax help and information and other assistance with local paperwork and regulations to ensure international students feel supported.Liaise with Housing Manager to ensure all necessary paperwork is on file for students living in the residence and that she is supported administratively. Work with the Housing Manager to ensure that incoming students have a place to live in Geneva, including sending the initial Housing Information Email and keeping the Housing Booklet up to date.ABOUT YOUYou’ll need to be a team worker, good communicator, organized and with the ability to multi-task.In this varied role, you’ll be the face of the International Student Office, so you will need to maintain a positive, customer-service approach and attitude at all times.You’ll also need:Fluent in French and English; French native speaker strongly preferred. Any other language a plus.Previous experience in the education industry a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication skills (verbal and written).Ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills and to prioritize efficiently.Ability to be a strong team player and work well in a team environment.Exhibit friendly and polite behavior on the phone and in person at all times, especially when interacting with students and their families. A customer service attitude is a must.1-2 years of experience or the perfect opportunity for a post-graduate starting out on his or her career path.
