Role : Subsea Inspector FOC, Flying Leads, Bottom Flanges, SSIV Valve (ITP Scope) Location: Milan, Italy (Onsite) — Candidates can apply from anywhereJob Type: ContractVisa: Schengen Visa will be providedThe Subsea Inspector is responsible for quality surveillance, inspection, and compliance verification of Fiber Optic Cables (FOC), electrical/hydraulic flying leads, bottom flanges, and SSIV valve packages for a shallow-water offshore subsea pipeline scheme. The role ensures adherence to ITPs, project specifications, and international standards through fabrication, assembly, FAT/SAT, and offshore readiness. ITP Compliance & Quality Surveillance Implement ITPs for FOC, flying leads, bottom flanges, and SSIVs. Conduct hold-point, witness-point, and surveillance inspections. Verify compliance with project specifications and vendor procedures. FOC (Fiber Optic Cable) Inspection Inspect fiber continuity, attenuation, and OTDR test results. Verify armoring, sheathing, and bend radius integrity. Witness terminations, splicing, sealing, and pressure tests. Flying Leads Inspection (Electrical & Hydraulic) Inspect fabrication of EFL/HFL components. Verify connectors, insulation resistance, continuity, tube cleanliness, and pressure tests. Review FAT documentation for electrical and hydraulic performance. Bottom Flanges & Connector Inspection Inspect fabrication and machining of flanges, hubs, and subsea connectors. Review dimensional checks, NDT results (VT, PT, UT, MT), coating, and corrosion protection. Confirm pressure rating, seal profile accuracy, and material traceability. SSIV Valve Inspection Review SSIV design compliance with API 6A/17D. Inspect valve body, actuator, sealing components, and control tubing. Witness FAT operations: valve cycling, leakage tests, HP/LP testing, and ESD logic verification. Documentation & Reporting Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and punch lists. Verify QA records, certificates, and MDR completeness. Ensure full material traceability and documentation control. Offshore Readiness Verification Validate equipment preservation, tagging, lifting points, and sea-fastening. Review ROV operability and interface fit-up. Confirm equipment is ready for mobilization and offshore installation. Interface & Coordination Coordinate with subsea engineering, quality teams, vendors, fabrication yards, and installation contractors. Communicate inspection findings and ensure close-out before release. Technical Competence Requirements Knowledge of subsea hardware: FOC, flying leads, SSIVs, hubs, connectors. Skilled in fiber optic testing (OTDR), hydraulic and electrical testing. Understanding of NDT (VT, PT, MT, UT) and coating inspection. Familiarity with API 17E/F/D, API 6A, DNV, ISO 13628 standards. Experience with SCM interfaces and subsea control systems. Qualifications & Experience Degree/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Quality Engineering. 5–15 years in subsea/offshore inspection for FOC, flying leads, SSIVs, and subsea hardware. NDT certifications (CSWIP/PCN/ASNT) preferred. Experience in FAT/EFAT/SIT and offshore readiness preparation.
