This is a brilliant opportunity for the right individual to join a well established, highly regarded business that is growing through their success in the market and their continued project wins. This role can be based in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Kilkenny or Waterford, with travel to site.With the support or the wider team, your responsibilities will include:Acting as a Team Manager and Substation Technical Expert within the businessOwnership of all elements of electrical substation design including primary design, secondary design, design calculations, procurement specifications, etc.Allocating tasks to team members, monitoring progress vs costs & programmeReviewing & approving team submissions in advance of issue, identifying value engineering opportunities where possibleSupporting team members in all projects as assigned throughout the lifetime of each contractTaking ownership & actively manage substation design projects when requiredIdentifying design risks and propose mitigation techniquesThe ideal profile is someone who has:Honours Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering8+ years industry experience Strong knowledge of the substation, utilities and renewables sectorFamiliarity with current ESB/Eirgrid specifications & design requirements would be an advantageWell-developed client facing skills with a client orientated approachIf you are considering what your next role could look like within Design Team Management, and have a passion for playing a part in delivering HV infrastructure in Ireland, please apply and get in touch with Mark Canning via the link provided for more information.
