We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewUnder the general supervision of the Manager, Patient Food Services or Designate, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Supervior, Patient Food Services is responsible for: ensuring a high quality of service and accuracy through efficient operation and planning of work; supervision of Patient Food Services employees and area; procurement of specific patient and office related products; participation in hiring, training and conducting of contribution assessment reviews; scheduling and payroll functions; participation in quality management programs and performing other related duties and responsibilities as required.ExperienceExperience with CBORD Diet Office Management Software system is an asset.Two (2) years’ experience within the last four (4) years working directly in Food Services is an asset.Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.Successful completion of an approved Food Services Supervisor's course or equivalent.Certification/Licensure/RegistrationValid Food Handler Training Certificate required.Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is preferred.Qualifications And SkillsProficiency in the use of common software applications, preferably the Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to supervise and direct in a team environment.Demonstrated leadership abilities.Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Proven organizational skills.Mature professional manner.If there are no applicants meeting the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant who does not meet the above qualifications.St. Boniface Hospital is committed to empowering a workforce that welcomes and celebrates diversity by fostering culturally safe places for all employees.
