Supplier Quality Assurance Technologist

Role Purpose,The purpose of the role is to manage, provide support to the Purchasing Lead and in collaboration with QA Manager ensure suppliers comply with the Group Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) requirements. Represent the organization in conducting supplier audits while building professional relationships with suppliers, Requirements,National Diploma/Degree in Food Technology/Biotechnology/ Food ScienceISO/FSSC 22000 Auditing certificate4-5 years’ experience in food safety management, including food safety auditing.Valid driver’s license and own vehicle is essentialComputer literate in microsoft packagesExcellent Planning and Problem-solving skillsGood Time Management & Analytical skillsExcellent presentation skills and ExcelCustomer OrientatedGood interpersonal skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAccuracy and attention to detailPro-active and the ability to take own initiativeSelf-motivated and enthusiasticAbility to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads, Duties and Responsibilities,Management of the SQA process for suppliers of: Raw Materials, Ingredients, Sub-contracted products, Packaging Materials, Measuring Equipment and Indirect Spend.Develop and maintain a supplier database in accordance to Group SQA procedureRequest, review and maintain up to date/accurate documentation for existing suppliers. Approval of new suppliers.Carry out supplier criticality & vulnerability and risk assessments and analyse data for supplier rating.Maintain effective communication and relationships with suppliers.Drive improvements through management of deviations for supplied materials and reduction thereofConduct supplier facility audits as per scheduleSupplier Performance Management - to ensure Quality standards in product manufacture by thirds party service providers meets the standards requiredCarry out annual supplier performance assessments for all suppliers
