Job DescriptionPosition Purpose (Brief Summary of why position exists)Proactively manage Tier N supply chain risk detection and mitigation before they manifest into a supply disruption.Lead and work with Tier 1 Supplier to obtain input to validate N Tier network value stream for critical commoditiesWork cross functionally with Purchasing and MP&L SMEs as ONE Centre of Excellence (COE) Team and leverage digital tools within Ford to progress Ford ability to mitigate Tier N issues.ResponsibilitiesBe integral part of N-Tier project and executing the "Risk Mitigation Framework" of Scanning, Profiling & developing Supply protection plansEngage closely with External consultant partners for developing the sub tier network, risk assessment dashboard & strategic plans to mitigate N-Tier uncertaintyMapping the N-Tier network of identified suppliers and priority to focus on critical commodities/parts Work with Tier 1 Supplier to obtain input to validate N Tier network value stream for critical semiconductor commodities based on MPN (Manufactured Part Number) details Monitor & categorize "Daily Risk Alerts"(Natural calamities, Pandemic, Political unrest etc.)Pro-actively engage with suppliers to document the N-Tier suppliers & consequently screen them for risk Work with Tier 1 Supplier & cross functional team to validate the risk identified in risk sensing/firefight.QualificationsB.E / B. Tech 2 -5 Years in SCM/Purchasing/Project ManagementExperience In Purchasing / Supply Chain Management Added AdvantageGood team playerExcellent communication skills (written and spoken)Good knowledge of Microsoft applications & Automation tools (RPA, Power BI & Altyrx) Strong communication skills to interact with Global cross functional team (written and oral) Strong analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentFlexible to work in night shifts -2pm to 11.30pm or 4.30pm to 2am
