We make UAE a safer place by providing secure electronic payment solutions, cyber security systems and communications as well as security systems for Dubai International Airport and air traffic management and navigation systems for Abu Dhabi’s airport.Requirements Title: Supply Chain Engineer – UAE National onlyLocation: Abu DhabiJob Objective:As part of its global footprint strategy, Thales Emarat Technologies (TET) is setting-up new state-of-the-art production facilities in the United Arab Emirates to produce locally a portfolio of legacy products in build-to-print mode and new products in build-to-spec mode.The supply chain engineer will be a key multi-skills contributor in charge of the following missions:Industrial schedulerLogistics and stocks officerHandling operations officerThe Industrial Scheduler function consists of planning, organizing, and optimizing the scheduling of production activities, labor, and resources in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This role ensures that production deadlines are met efficiently while balancing the requirements of operations, minimizing downtime, and coordinating with various departments to maintain smooth workflow throughout the plant.The Logistic and stocks officer function consists of ensuring the seamless flow of materials and components across various stages of the supply chain, including reception, storage, provisioning, and preparation of manufacturing orders. The role involves managing inventory, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring timely preparation and delivery of materials. Additionally, the Logistic Officer acts as a team reference by supporting team members, monitoring performance, and conducting training when necessary.Finally, the handling operations officer is responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently. The role ensures compliance with safety regulations and supports overall warehouse operations.Roles & Responsibilities:Function “Industrial scheduler”:Develop detailed schedules for production lines, equipment, and personnel based on order demand, available resources, and lead times.Coordinate with production, maintenance, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of resources and material flows.Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to respond to delays, equipment failures, or urgent customer orders.Analyse data and historical performance to recommend process improvements for scheduling efficiency and on-time delivery.Work closely with master planners to ensure alignments with schedule changes or challenges.Prepare and distribute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules and reports.Use ERP to update and maintain accurate scheduling records.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in all scheduling activities.Function “Logistics & stocks responsible” :Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and traceability regulationsMaintain accurate records of inventory movements (physical and system-based) in the ERP systemConduct periodic inventory counts to ensure stock accuracySupply components and materials to production lines in alignment with manufacturing orders and schedulesOrganize and deliver materials in kits, ensuring availability for production as per operational requirementsManage finished goods and spare parts storage, ensuring accurate documentation of inventory movementsEnsure proper stacking, labelling, and storage of goods according to warehouse proceduresPerform administrative tasks for receiving deliveries, verifying delivery notes against purchase ordersAssemble and verify necessary shipping documents (including export control and custom duties), ensuring timely and efficient shipment loadingManage the import/export of goods as per Incoterms defined between Thales Emarat Technologies and its suppliers/customersImplement and maintain best practices for inventory control and warehouse organizationIdentify and implement improvements in logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errorsEnsure compliance with safety and quality standards in all logistics operationsFunction “Handling operations responsible” :Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods between the warehouse, integration halls and test areasLoad and unload materials from trucks and storage areas safely and efficientlyHandle unloading of goods and ensure proper orientation of components and materials for storage or further processingConduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any operational issuesComply with all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent workplace accidentsEnsure both your own safety and the safety of others at all times * Maintain an active role in achieving the objectives and adhering to the HSE PolicyWork Experience Requirements3 year’s minimum of experience in scheduling and logistics/storage management. Demonstrated experience on forklifts/head cranes handling with certifications.Qualification, Certification and Educational Requirements:Master/engineering degree in industry/supply chain.Certifications in forklift/head cranes handling.Preferred Skills:Proven experience in production scheduling, planning, or a similar industrial role.Proven experience in stocks/industrial shops managementProven experience in import/export managementStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in handling operations using forklifts and head cranes with tracking and certificationsHSE Responsibilities:Take care of your own safety and the safety of others as far as practicable.To be aware of, and play an active role in the achievement of Thales HSE policy & objectives.Comply with local HSE laws and legislation.To use safety equipment (including PPE) as required and intended.Lead by example and actively encourage departments to look at ways to conserve water & energy, minimize the generation of waste, and encourage recycling.Everyone within Thales has the right to stop work if they believe that their activities may affect their health and safety or that of others.
