The Supply Chain Intern is responsible for supporting the analysis and implementation of initiatives within Supply Chain Distribution team. This individual will assist with various project functions and needs, ultimately impacting the overall success of the team.What You'll DoParticipate on improvement projects across supply chain and distribution centersParticipate in time and motion studies, and/or value stream mappingLeverage analytical skills to create reports and presentationsGain experience with industry strategies, methodologies, systems and processes.Provides support during the data collection phase of a project using work measurement conceptsCollaborates cross-functionally on assignments with internal and external stakeholders to understand the results of data analysis and researchIdentifies future strategic opportunities / potential operational improvements with emphasis on efficiencyReview layout, process and equipment design to ensure integration between different components and reduce lastminute conflicts.Helps develop alternative solutions to eliminate conflicts and reduce costs.Carries out ad hoc project support functions as requested by the hiring manager.What We're Looking ForCurrent enrollment in a college or university with a major that aligns with the departmentKnowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Office)Previous internship experience preferredFueled by Growth, Driven by YouAt RaceTrac, our people make the difference.
