Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division is the North American market leader in the production of passenger coaches, locomotives, and light rail vehicles.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8nddK1NZSkPosition OverviewThe Supply Chain Planner plays a key role in ensuring production readiness by timely Purchase Order Placement, managing critical supplier relationships and driving the on-time delivery of materials. This role focuses on managing material planning, resolving supply chain challenges, overseeing procurement activities, and supporting cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations in an engineer-to-order manufacturing environment. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.What your day-to-day will look like:Analyze demand in ERP, create Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders Perform excess inventory analysis and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure availability of excess inventory while minimizing liability.Negotiate with suppliers for quick buys and escalate PO delivery issues as necessary.Drive PO acceptance and delivery confirmation process, partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.Proactively monitor sole-source suppliers and demand imbalances and take corrective actions to resolve material shortages impacting production.Collaborate with Digitalization team to develop reports and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholdersCollaborate with Project Management, Strategic Procurement, and other teams to address potential delays.To thrive in this role, you have:Worked on a supply chain or procurement role for over 3 years in a manufacturing environmentHighly proficient MS Excel skills.MRP systems knowledge, SAP Preferred.Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline – preferably in supply chain management, business, computer science, or engineering Familiar with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.$66,708 $78,336
