What To ExpectLocation: Gigafactory GrünheideDuration: 6 monthsTime Type: Full timeStart date: December 2025Internship assignment:You’ll be part of the Material Planning team, which is an international, experienced, fun, and vital team at Tesla. Working directly with the team collaboratively, you’ll have the unique opportunity to make changes and improvements to our processes. Most importantly, you will support us in our day-to-day business and participate in additional project activities.The supply chain planning team is responsible for ensuring that all direct vehicle parts are delivered to the plant on time and in the required quantity. The team coordinates with suppliers to ensure delivery, manages inventory levels and optimizes the supply chain to meet production targets.What You'll DoSupport on challenging material planning to ensure demands from current production and new programsMaintain accurate MRP data to reflect confirmed delivery quantities and due dates from suppliers, validate, troubleshoot, and resolve discrepanciesAssist onboarding and training of new suppliers to ensure operational excellence and compliance with Tesla’s supply chain processes and policiesDeliver material coverage and cost analyses as needed. Provide data-driven decision support to the organization through what-if and scenario planningSystem enhancement and implementation to optimally reflect supply chainCollaborate with internal teams (Production, Logistics, Procurement, NPI, etc.) and external partners (suppliers etc.) to optimize the supply chain and ensure the flow of materialGather experience of ramping up the material planning process in one of the most advanced high-volume electric vehicle factories in the worldWork in a highly dynamic and international environmentWhat You'll BringPreferably studying a relevant field like Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business AdministrationKnowledge in Logistics, ideally experience in Material Planning and supplier relationshipsMicrosoft Office skills and fast adaption to new IT toolsAdvanced Level in English, German is a plusGood communication skillsCapable of working in a fast-paced and always changing environmentProactive and independent work mentalityThe ability to keep the overview and improve processes.A strong team player, Tesla
