ImportantOur Contractor Success Team will only qualify applicants based in Japan for this project. This project is set to start in October 1st, 2025, and has the potential to be long-term, although the timeline is not yet fully defined. Therefore, the actual scope of work can be adjusted based on the subcontractor's expertise. Logistics Strategy DevelopmentAssess current logistics operations including warehouse capacity, SAP-WMS integration, and packaging workflows. Identify and visualize operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Develop a strategic logistics roadmap aligned with expansion plans.

Supplier and Contract ManagementReview existing supplier contracts and assess the feasibility and impact of termination or renegotiation. Design a supplier management framework to simplify and optimize multi-vendor coordination. LSP Evaluation and SelectionDefine evaluation criteria for 3PL/4PL providers based on scalability, flexibility, and operational efficiency. Conduct market research and benchmarking of potential logistics service providers. Facilitate proposal process and vendor selection. Logistics Network RedesignPropose a restructured logistics network that supports future growth and nationwide coverage. Recommend optimal warehouse locations and distribution models. Align logistics planning with agreed business milestone. Implementation PlanningDevelop a reverse-engineered implementation plan from the 2026 business objective.

Provide change management and stakeholder engagement strategy. Define KPIs and monitoring mechanisms for logistics transformationQualifications Experience and ExpertiseProfessional experience in logistics strategy, supply chain transformation, and vendor management. Proven track record in delivering large-scale logistics redesign projects in Japan, preferably for retail or consumer goods sectors. Deep understanding of SAP and WMS integration challenges and solutions. Technical CapabilitiesAbility to conduct quantitative logistics modeling and scenario analysis. Familiarity with Japanese logistics regulations, warehousing standards, and chilled distribution requirements. Strategic and Operational InsightExperience in evaluating and selecting 3PL/4PL providers. Strong capability in contract analysis and supplier negotiation.

Project ManagementDemonstrated success in managing multi-phase transformation projects with fixed milestones. Skilled in reverse planning and milestone-based execution. Communication and CollaborationBilingual proficiency (Japanese and English) for stakeholder engagement. Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and IT teams.
