Support Engineer

About the RoleAs a Support Engineer at Flexion Mobile you will be part of our highly efficient and collaborative Support Agile team where you will be facilitating, coordinating, and optimizing technical troubleshooting while keeping other support coordinators, and external parties up to date and maintaining, building a state of the art knowledge base and effective procedures. You will be responsible for responding and resolving the technical support requests and service tickets. It is a part of the job to identify, diagnose and rectify any issues in Flexion's services, and applications. You will also be responsible for developing internal tools used for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and game fixing.Main ResponsibilitiesInvestigate the problems and recommend effective remedies for the prevention of problemsOffer reactive and proactive supportAssist with troubleshooting technical issuesCooperate with other cross-functional teams to ensure support items are delivered at the best quality in the shortest timeMaintain and develop an internal knowledgebaseInteract with external developers/stakeholders if neededLead improvements with our troubleshooting tools and processesContribute effectively in decision-making meetings with other managers and team leads by defining and shaping support methodology, ensuring alignment between support, product, development and other cross-functional teams, building trust in high pressure/fire-drill situationsProactively and independently apply critical thinking to boost overall efficiency, recommend appropriate and relevant tactical improvements, anticipating future business needs to improve the overall support experience and share this knowledge across the teamEssential Skills and RequirementsJAVA proficiency is a must.Proven experience as both a Support Technician and a Software Developer.Demonstrated analytical thinking and a systematic approach to problem-solving.Practical experience working within an Agile environment.Strong SQL knowledge, with a preference for MySQL.A solid understanding of mobile applications and online services.Several years of professional work experience in related fields.Desirable but not Essential Skills and ExperiencesAndroid app developmentWorking with automated android testing frameworksSome experience in software developmentAbout YouPassion for technology, preferably within mobile spaceCritical mindset and strong problem-solving abilityEnthusiastic and optimistic mindsetStrong ability and willingness to learnGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood interpersonal and teamwork skillsA passion for delivering high-quality solutionsEducated to degree level in computer science or related discipline, or relevant experience in the fieldAbout FlexionFlexion Mobile is a leader in one of the fastest and biggest sectors of entertainment - mobile games!
