Job Description

Role OverviewOur client is seeking a Support Engineer to join their technology operations team.This is a frontline support role that combines customer-facing helpdesk responsibilities with light technical and data-platform tasks.The successful candidate will enjoy troubleshooting, communicating with customers, and learning how modern data and analytics systems work.You will collaborate closely with platform specialists, engineers, and third-party providers to:Resolve customer issues efficientlyMaintain smooth daily data and platform operationsContribute to a positive customer experienceKey ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact for customer support queries via email and ticketing systemDiagnose and resolve issues related to:User accessData discrepanciesSystem errorsEscalate complex or technical issues to engineering teams when neededMonitor daily automated processes (file imports, integrations, data refreshes)Run simple SQL checks or queries to validate dataAssist with onboarding new customers and configuring system integrationsLog all issues, resolutions, and client interactions in the ticketing systemContribute to internal documentation and knowledge-base contentSupport platform coordination, including SLA tracking and incident analysisExperience & Skills Required1–3 years’ experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical operationsStrong problem-solving ability and customer-focused approachClear, professional written and verbal communicationFamiliarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, Freshdesk)Basic SQL knowledgeComfortable learning how data platforms and integrations functionHighly organised with excellent attention to detailNice to HaveExperience supporting SaaS, analytics, or data-driven productsExposure to cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCPKnowledge of Power BI or similar reporting toolsExperience working with retail, finance, or ePOS systemsWhat the Client OffersA varied, client-facing support role with exposure to modern cloud technologiesOpportunity to work directly with experienced engineers and platform specialistsFlexible hybrid or remote working options within IrelandSupportive environment with clear progression pathways into data operations or platform administrationThe chance to make a meaningful impact on customer experience and service quality
