Working as part of a team to ensure that service objectives are met and reviewed so as to improve and develop the service. Working in partnership with colleagues and management to establish, maintain and monitor standards of performance for all aspects of the service, including involvement and consultation with the people we support. Working as part of a team in respect to risk management and establishing the right balance in risk assessments between enabling people we support to make choices and fulfilling the service duty of care. Creating and facilitating individual programmes of meaningful activities. Completion of reports as deemed necessary by the organisation. Supporting the people we support with regular exercise and outdoor activities. Attendance and successful completion of any training, education and development deemed necessary to support you in your role. (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties but is rather a guide to the role).Personal Profile Education & Training:LEVEL 7 Degree in: Social Care/ Applied Social Studies in professional Social Care/ Social Care Practice/ Social Care Work or relevent Level 7 degree. CORU RegistrationExperience:Working with individuals with intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder would be a distinct advantage. Experience in delivering positive behaviour support and low arousal approaches in a person centred environment. Knowledge & Skills:Awareness of key worker role and philosophy surrounding supporting people with complex needs. Have an understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disability and supporting people with complex needs. New Directions, HIQA and National Standards. Excellent communication skills with proven ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Programme planning. Computer literacyAbility to design schedules, write social stories, facilitate achievement of individual's personal goals Competencies and Values:Human Rights Based Approach. Knowledge of Low Arousal Philosophy & Practice. Resilience, Positive Attitude & Openness to Change. Effective Communication & Working Relationships. Planning and Organising.
