Job DescriptionPractice Locations: (Hybrid) Northside Interchange Building and AlpharettaSurgery SchedulerResponsible for coordinating the surgery schedule of one or more doctors, scheduling appointments for outpatient surgical procedures, create follow up appointments, monitor insurance payments, give patients pre-surgery instructions, and more.JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES*:Contact patient to discuss scheduling factors such as available dates and benefitsCoordinate the surgery schedule for assigned doctor(s)Verify patient’s insurance benefits for the specific codesObtain preauthorization/determination for surgeryComplete estimate and prepay tickets for collectionEnter surgery charges for billingAssist other team members as neededSet post-surgical appointments with doctorsSchedule meetings with vendors in regard to equipment or new technologyPerforms other duties as assigned or requestedThe Company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum Experience: Work experience in the healthcare field. Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic procedures, and health care billing and authorizationExperience with eCW EMR (Preferred but not required)SKILLS:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent customer service skillsMust possess the ability to make decisions and problem solveCompany DescriptionAtlanta Women’s Health Group, P.C.
