This office-based position assists Professional Land Surveyors in the preparation of supporting data for land survey projects and focuses on producing accurate, high-quality drawings and deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D.You will have an opportunity to work closely with our multi-disciplined team of Professional Land Surveyors, Engineers, and Land Use Planners on land development projects that shape communities and support our clients’ vision.Ready to make an impact? Let’s talk.Key Responsibilities:Apply survey information and reduce field notes to layout and draft designs and drawings for projectsPerform base mapping, overlay preparation, and work on storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and street design projects, including review site plans, layouts and publication mockupsReview and conduct field check data for compliance with jurisdictional codes, to ensure survey standards are metWork with close supervision to complete a variety of office or field work as assigned such as preparing data, charts, plots, maps, records and documents related to surveysProvide support to other departments such as preparing computer generated maps and exhibitsPrepare and maintain accurate survey and engineering records in support of licensed staffDevelop knowledge of federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations regarding surveyOccasional field work, including out of town travelQualifications:A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in both field and office land surveying preferredProficiency with Civil 3D requiredExperience with Trimble Business Center preferredMust be a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detailOur ValuesAt MacKay Sposito, we’re serious about our work, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.The wage range for this position is $30.00 - $60.00 per hour. Depending on your placement in a Survey Tech 1, II, III, IV.Full time employees receive a well rounded benefit package including access to our company sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. 100% company paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability coverage.
