Skipton International has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation and reporting of sustainability strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with Skipton International’s commitment to ESG.
Key accountabilitiesManage the development of the Sustainability Strategy in line with industry frameworks and standards Work closely with the Commercial Team, Senior Management, Skipton Group, stakeholders, and external partners, to ensure Skipton aligns with global sustainability standards while meeting local regulatory and community expectationsOversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG data and performance metrics Work closely with the Skipton Group to ensure Skipton’s Sustainability Strategy aligns with the overall Group strategy and framework (including net zero targets), ensuring consistency with approach to reporting and targetsSupport the delivery of Skipton’s Commitment to the United Nations Environment Programme, Principles for Responsible BankingFoster a culture of sustainability through employee training and awareness programsAct as an advocate and expert for sustainability internally and externally, representing the bank in industry forums and eventsIdentify opportunities for integrating sustainability into business operations, products, and services.
Lead on sustainability elements being built into new products and servicesBuild sustainability management information / reporting and attend and support the Product Proposition and Sustainability CommitteeAdhere to CPD (Continued Professional Development) requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house proceduresAdhere to the Skipton International core values and expected behavioursPerform any other duties as deemed necessary by managementEssential RequirementsDegree level education in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience in a Sustainability roleUnderstanding of ESG principles, frameworks and regulationProven experience in a sustainability roleAbility to develop and maintain effective relationships both within the company and the wider business environment in order to achieve sustainability objectivesNumeric/commercial acumen Ability to engage across teamsStrong MS application skills, particularly excelRelated CareersHead of Risk & ComplianceFunds ManagerBusiness Analyst
