We bring together unique handmade, locally produced, and sustainable products on a vibrant, design-forward platform that celebrates craftsmanship, creativity, and conscious living.Our mission is to make shopping personal again — by using modern technology to empower small businesses to thrive online, grow their reach, and share their stories with the world.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Svelte/SvelteKit Developer to join our growing team and help build the next generation of Crafto’s marketplace platform.This is a full-time remote role where you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining our web applications using SvelteKit 5, collaborating closely with our backend and design teams, and driving new features that enhance the user experience for customers and sellers.You’ll work in a fast-paced startup environment, taking ownership of features from concept to deployment — optimizing performance, ensuring scalability, and writing clean, maintainable code.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain dynamic, high-performance frontend applications using SvelteKit 5Collaborate with backend engineers and designers to implement new features and user flowsIntegrate with APIs (REST and GraphQL) for data-driven functionalityEnsure optimal performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devicesWork closely with our Vendure backend and Clerk authentication systemParticipate in code reviews, contribute to CI/CD improvements (GitLab), and maintain high-quality standardsTroubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecksStay up-to-date with modern web development trends and best practicesQualifications3+ years of hands-on experience with Svelte and SvelteKitStrong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3Experience integrating APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) and managing state effectivelyFamiliarity with modern frontend tooling (Vite, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS preferred)Experience with Git and collaborative workflows (GitLab or GitHub)Solid understanding of web performance optimization and responsive designExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experienceNice to have:Experience working with Vendure, Azure, or PostgreSQLUnderstanding of authentication systems (e.g., Clerk, Auth0, Firebase)Basic familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Node.js, or Twilio Conversations integrationInterest in e-commerce, marketplaces, or empowering small businesses through technologyWhy Join CraftoBe part of an inspiring mission-driven startup redefining local commerce in BulgariaWork with a modern tech stack (SvelteKit 5, Node.js 22, Vendure, Clerk, Twilio, Azure)Flexible remote environment with ownership and growth opportunitiesCollaborate with a creative, passionate, and supportive team to build something meaningfulIf you are interested in this role please send your CV in English
