Swiss Airtainer SA is a high-tech Swiss start-up revolutionizing air cargo logistics with a sustainable, smart, and aviation-certified temperature-controlled container for life-saving pharmaceutical products. As we enter the commercial scaling phase and the development of new products, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development and industrialization of our innovative containers. This is a key role based in Switzerland. Your tasks will be design and test activities as well as interacting with our suppliers. You will report directly to the CTO. Travel is expected and work at other locations will be required from time to time.

Area of Responsibility / job role · Manage the products design (3D and 2D) in strong collaboration with the industrial stakeholders. · Collaborate with our electronic, IoT, and IT engineers in design, prototyping, testing and industrialization activities. · Test and implement continuous improvements on the products. · Manage the products configuration. · Implement the certification and test program of new products or changed products in cooperation with Head of Airworthiness. Your BackgroundEngineering degree in mechanics or equivalent (micro-technics, mechatronics, etc). Excellent command of CAD development.
Nice to haveMinimum of five years of professional experience in a similar position. Project management skills. Strong CAD skills in Solidworks. Good knowledge in multidisciplinary systems: electrical, batteries, solar panels, electronics etc. French, Italian or German as a second language. ProfilePassion for quality and continuous improvement. Detail-oriented and well-organized. Pragmatic, flexible, curious and innovative yet a high integrity is required. Humble and ability to cooperate at people at different levels/functions nationalities. Strategic thinking and ability to put strategy in actionable activities to achieve the long-term goals.
