Recruiter:Work AfricaJob Ref:3806542671Date posted:Tuesday, November 18, 2025Location:East London, South AfricaSUMMARY:POSITION INFO:SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR/EAST LONDONRequirements: Minimum Grade 12 (copy to be submitted with application)Valid code 08 Drivers license (may be required to move vehicles occasionally)Previous experience in a receptionist, or customer service roleMotor Industry experience is advantageousExcellent verbal and written communication skills, professional telephone mannerMicrosoft Office, excel, word, outlook, familiarity with dealership management systems is a plus (DMS)Friendly, professional demeanour, and strong customer-focused attitudeStrong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detailAbility to work under pressureKey Responsibilities:Greet and welcome customers and visitors to the dealership in a friendly, professional mannerAnswer and manage high volumes of incoming calls, using multi-line phone system, directing them to the appropriate department, notify staff of customer arrivals, ensure comfort and well-being of customer in the waiting areaPerform routine clerical duties such as filing, scanning, data entry, typing correspondence, maintaining customer records, printing job cards, doing follow up calls on Stellantis clientsProvide basic information to customers about the dealerships products, services and policiesSalary: Market relatedApplication Process: Only online applications will be considered for this role.
