System Administrator

6 Month contract |Based in ChatswoodExperience in VDI management- VMware HorizonExperience in supporting and managing cloud solutions in AWS, Azure and O365Our client is looking for System Administrator who will focus on the Wintel space and will be expected to provide technical capabilities for the server, VDI and systems infrastructure. As an IT Systems Administrator, you will have a great understanding of infrastructure, VDI and cloud technologies.Part of this role you will be expected to support and maintain the large VDI solution based on VMWare horizon, manage, and keep current our monitoring and alerting platform, manage backups, manage the patching process across server and VDI/EUC and support the backend Infrastructure applications, i.e Exchange, O365, VMWare. Key Skills Required:Excellent understanding of Microsoft Technologies including Server 2016/2019/2022, AD, AAD, DFS, DHCP, DNS.Knowledge and experience in supporting and managing cloud solutions in AWS, Azure and O365Export knowledge of Windows 10/11 including deploying and patching.Knowledge and experience in managing VMWare vCentre, ESXi.Proven experience in support a VDI solution -preferably VMware Horizon i.e Citrix, Horizon, WorkspacesExperience in managing and support monitoring and alerting platforms, i.e PRTG, Solarwinds, NagiosExperience in designing and building backup & recovery solutions – Azure, AWS and Veeam.Experience with planning and delivering automation improvementsProven knowledge and experience of ITIL service management concepts and practicesSolid understanding of networking principals with experience troubleshooting connectivity issues around Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.Shared Storage experience and understanding of iSCSI fundamentalsDesirable Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum or variation) using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and KanbanVMWare VCP, Microsoft MCP, Cisco CCNAUnderstanding of APRA CPS234, PCI, ISO27001 and ASD Security EssentialsDegree qualified – Information Systems / Computer Science.Please Note: All resumes MUST be submitted in Word format.If you are interested in hearing more about this position, don’t hesitate to contact Sumeet Kaur.
