System Administrator (Database-Focused)

TallyKhata is looking for an experienced 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 with strong expertise in 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, particularly in 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐒𝐐𝐋 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, to join our growing technology team.If you have hands-on experience with 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐱 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐒𝐐𝐋, 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐃𝐁, and 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact at one of Bangladesh’s leading fintech companies! Responsibilities:Manage and maintain production-grade Linux servers.Administer, secure, and optimize PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL clustering, replication, and failover for high availability.Implement Disaster Recovery (DC/DR) strategies and conduct regular recovery drills.Perform query optimization, index tuning, and database performance analysis.Ensure reliable backup, restore, and continuous monitoring of database environments.Collaborate with development teams to enhance application–database performance and reliability.Virtualization & containerization (ProxMox, ESXi, Docker, Kubernetes).Configure and maintain hardware components such as server commissioning, hard disk, RAID, NFS, NAS.Automate routine system tasks and streamline infrastructure operations.Implement observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, Cacti) with alerts/dashboards.Preferred Skills & Qualifications5+ years of experience in Linux, PostgreSQL administration (replication, HA, tuning).Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.Familiarity with MongoDB, MySQL, and database monitoring tools.Experience in production troubleshooting, performance optimization, and capacity planning.Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science, or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent).Provide on-call support with flexibility for late-night and weekend operations when required.Strong analytical skills
