Come, create an exceptional future.THE OPPORTUNITYAs a Systems Engineer you will support the design and development of seating related systems within a model-based systems engineering environment. You will work across logical design, system architecture, requirements development and issue resolution, contributing to the delivery of high-quality system features into JLR vehicle programmes.This role is ideal for an engineer looking to deepen systems engineering expertise within a structured, highly technical team.What You Will DoDevelop new features at the logical/system level, including architecture and requirementsPopulate and maintain Jira backlogs for assigned work packagesWork with internal/external teams to ensure feature requirements are metPerform peer reviews of systems engineering artefactsSupport tool/methodology development to improve SE processesContribute to vehicle level investigations and provide clear technical updatesIdentify and raise key technical issuesUse data analysis to support improvementsMaintain and deliver technical artefacts into business systems (e.g., RTC)Liaise with integration teams to understand dependencies and SW integration plansSupport system performance testing for assigned featuresMaintain awareness of legislation and standards relevant to the domainDefining and executing test cases and supporting overall test strategy for seating systemsContribute to vehicle-level investigations and provide clear technical updatesContribute to vehicle and RIGs testing, issues analysis and resolutionIdentify, raise and follow up key technical issuesWhat You Will NeedEssential: Engineering degree or equivalent experienceExperience or training in systems engineering principlesBasic knowledge of SysML or MBSE conceptsAbility to work methodically and collaborativelyDesirable: Experience in automotive systemsFamiliarity with Jira, RTC or systems engineering toolsAwareness of functional safety, cyber security or ASPICEUnderstanding of vehicle networks (CAN / LIN / Ethernet)The BenefitsThis role is rewarding in more ways than one.
