Our talented team is at the heart of this mission, and we are looking for a skilled System Engineer to join us in making a tangible impact on the world.Role OverviewAs System Engineer, you’ll drive the development and integration of advanced rail systems from concept to validation. You’ll translate functional requirements into technical solutions, ensure subsystem interoperability, and guarantee that every system meets our safety, performance, and reliability standards.Tasks-System Architecture & Requirements: Define and manage system and subsystem requirements, ensuring full traceability and alignment with project and safety standards.-Subsystem Integration: Coordinate integration of control, mechanical, and electrical subsystems; manage interfaces and interdependencies across domains.-Functional Safety & Risk Management: Conduct technical risk assessments (HARA, FMEA, FTA) and support compliance with EN 50126/8/9 and SIL processes.-Verification & Validation: Lead verification activities and system-level testing; support field validation and fault analysis during prototype and service phases.-Configuration & Change Management: Control baselines, document interfaces, and evaluate design modifications through impact analysis.-Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering team, as well as external partners and suppliers in compliance with our IRIS QM standards and system.Additional Contributions-Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with rail and safety standards through rigorous validation and structured processes.Requirements-Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.-6 years of experience in system or subsystem integration, ideally in rail, automotive, or aerospace.-Strong understanding of systems engineering processes (requirements, verification, validation, safety).-Familiarity with functional safety concepts and standards (EN 50126/8/9, ISO 26262).-Proficiency with requirements & modelling tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Enterprise Architect, Simulink, SysML).-Working knowledge of communication protocols (EtherCAT, CAN/CANopen, TCP/IP).-Solid technical documentation and analytical skills.-Fluent in English; German is a plus.Nice to have-Experience in train or vehicle system integration.-Experience with HIL/SIL environments or simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink).-Knowledge of RAMS or certification processes.-Understanding of embedded systems or control logic.-Proactive mindset with strong ownership and curiosity for innovationBenefits-Work at the frontier of sustainable rail innovation.-Join a multidisciplinary R&D team with real autonomy.-Contribute to innovative projects.-Competitive package with bonus scheme and full social coverage.-Continuous learning and flexible work environment.If you want your engineering to have real-world impact, we’d like to hear from you.Contact Yasi Samari, HR Responsible, by applying directly here.
