System Engineer – Underwater Sonar and Acoustic Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated System Engineer to join our Underwater Sonar and Acoustic Sensing Systems team reporting to chief architect. The role involves full system ownership throughout the product lifecycle – from requirements definition and system design to integration, testing, and delivery to the customer.Job Description:Lead the system engineering process for advanced sonar, underwater sensors, and acoustic processing systemsAnalyze operational requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications (System Requirements / System Specification)Define system architecture, allocate subsystems, and manage interdisciplinary interfaces (mechanical, electrical, software, communications, DSP)Plan and oversee integration and verification processes (IV&V), including sea trials and field testsPerform system performance analyses in underwater acoustics, detection range, SNR, signal processing, and target trackingCollaborate with customers, subcontractors, and internal engineering teamsManage configuration control, lead system-level investigations and failure analysesJob Requirements:B.Sc. in Electrical / Electronics / Physics / Aerospace / Systems Engineering (M.Sc. – advantage)+7 years of experience in R&D, at least 3 years as a system engineer – preferably in sonar, radar, or advanced sensing domains.Strong background or understanding in underwater acoustics, signal processing, or real-time systems – advantageProven experience in writing and managing system documents (SRS, ICD, CONOPS)Strong analytical and system-level thinking skillsExcellent communication skills and proficiency in English (spoken and written)Willingness to participate in field and sea tests as part of system validation activities
