Department InformationAttorney Regulation Counsel leads an independent office of the Colorado Supreme Court that regulates the practice of law in Colorado through various programs. The office oversees attorney admissions, attorney registration, mandatory continuing legal and judicial education, attorney diversion and discipline, regulation of the unauthorized practice of law, and inventory counsel.Description Of JobThe Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel seeks applications for the position of Systems Engineer. The Systems Engineer conducts duties relating to the Colorado Supreme Court - Office of Attorney Regulation division, providing administrative support for servers operating on Microsoft Windows and Hyper-V platforms, as well as various application systems essential to the department’s daily operations. Key responsibilities include comprehensive management of the server system infrastructure, encompassing installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and security enforcement. Ensures optimal system performance and security by conducting monthly updates across all relevant systems.Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions Of Employment & Appeal RightsApplicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university, along with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows server environments. Experience with Linux/Unix-based servers is highly desirable. Current certifications such as Microsoft MCSA, MCSD, MCSE, VMware, or Microsoft Hyper-V are preferred.ORExperience may substitute for education on a year for year basis as follows: graduation from high school or equivalent and four years working in computer related areas; one year of the computer experience must be directly supporting either Windows or Linux/Unix based servers.
