Systems Engineer

About The RoleThis role is within CASG working on the LAND4140 program. The successful candidate will be coordinating and completing assigned systems engineering. You will also need to work closely with commercial resources to ensure alignment of Engineering and Technical artefacts with wider programmatic and commercial intent.Role RequirementsCASG experience and familiarity with the Capability Acquisition process and intimate knowledge of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) lifecycle. Defence capital acquisition projects experience. Performing critical and complex engineering activities. Evaluating delivered materiel/items meets requirements and legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, provide recommendations. Exercising assigned engineering authorities and any Technical Regulatory Authority delegations. Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Technical certification & Engineering compliance. Engineering change process including experience in Configuration Control Board. Conduct reviews of contract deliverables understanding of Defence engineering policies, processes and plans. Systems engineering technical and professional advice. Drafting and reviewing systems engineering artefacts across the full systems engineering lifecycle. Familiarity with CASG engineering policy (EMS), CMTL and ERP. Experience / Skills Conduct tender evaluations as a member of a Tender Evaluation Working Group. Research and develop requirements. Experience in Land domain. Lead engineering tasks and teams. Draft and review engineering artefacts such as SOW, CDRLs, DIDs and DSDs. Support development of engineering plans including:Test and Evaluation Master Plan Systems Engineering Management Plan Safety Management Plan Configuration Management Plan Essential QualificationsEngineering degree qualification with relevant Defence industry experience of more than 7 years. Good understanding of Defence Systems Engineering concepts. Understanding of the One Defence Capability System lifecycle. Current/active Chartered Engineering accreditation preferred.
