DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).The Impact You Will Have In This RoleBeing a member of the Systems Engineering family is responsible for the entire technical effort to evolve and verify solutions that satisfy client needs. The primary focus is centered on reducing risk and improving the efficiency, performance, stability, security, and quality of all systems and platforms. The Systems Engineering role specializes in the analysis, evaluation, design, testing, implementation, support, and debugging of all middleware, mainframe, and distributed platforms, tools, and systems of the firm.Your Primary Responsibilities Support DTCC Infrastructure by providing monitoring and system support for DTCC‘s Production, PSE, QA, DEV and lab environments Provide 24x7 support for event monitoring, incident triage and escalationProvide support to all environments on a shift basis, handling any activity for any environment as required Contribute to projects by executing task deliverables and guidelines are met. ServiceNow alert monitoring and resolution across various platforms. Work closely with peers to improve the workflow process and communication. Align risk and control processes into daily responsibilities. Provide comprehensive technical support to peers, business unit and IT MGMT. Reduce nonactionable operational events. Drive automation of manual support task. Maintain stability of the infrastructure environment. Develop and produce timely metrics based on the required management platforms. Execute performance and statistical monitoring to develop procedures and best practices which improve overall environment. Actively strives to keep Standards documents, Process and Procedures Documents, and Baseline documents up to date with emerging industry standards Aligns risk and control processes into dayLeadership Competencies For This Level Include Accountability: Demonstrates reliability by taking necessary actions to continuously meet required deadlines and goals. Innovation and Creativity: Thinks boldly and out of the box, generates new ideas and processes, and confidently pursues challenges as new avenues of opportunity.Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of related experience Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceTalents Needed For Success Familiar with ITIL practices and industry standard Alert, Incident, Problem and Change Management practices. Virtual Platform – vSwitch/Port group configurations, host/VM management, vcenter alarms, performance charts, VsphereUCS management, vSAN / NSX / VMAX. Windows – Expert level knowledge of MS Server/Workstation. Unix/Linux – Unix/Linux platform specifically RHEL on physical and virtual environment. TCP/IP networking, Unix/Linux systems and monitoring protocols (SNMP, Syslog). Chef-client, Netbackup, Autosys, NFS, SAN storage filesystems. AWS sys admin functions. Database –Knowledge on Oracle, SQL/PLSQL. Golden Gate, ASM, Oracle RAC, Data Guard. Networking – Working knowledge of Cisco equipment and interconnectivity, OSI model and data extraction analysis Distributed Middleware Services / Tools –knowledge of WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, MQ, Informatica DIH/DQ, DMW,DSG. JVM, AWS cloud, Splunk. Storage – Netapp, VMAXThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
