JOB TITLE: Social Media EditorDEPARTMENT: Digital MarketingREPORTS TO: Regional Head – Social Media, BurdaLuxurySUMMARY: BurdaLuxury is seeking a creative and experienced Social Media Editor for the Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia, Hong Kong & Macau to manage and grow our social media channels, with a strong focus on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. This role requires an individual with 4-5 years of experience in social media strategy, art direction, production and editorial content.The Social Media Editor will be responsible for crafting compelling social media content that aligns with our editorial goals and coordinating the production of content across various platforms. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the latest social media tools, trends, and platforms, and possess excellent communication and storytelling skills.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategy Development:Develop and implement social media strategies to grow audience engagement and reach.Lead the creation of social campaigns and IPs, working closely with the editorial team to produce deliverables for client campaigns.Ensure that social media strategies align with the overall editorial vision and brand voice of the assigned brand.Content Creation & Management:Oversee art direction and production for social media content, including video production, photography, and graphic design.Collaborate with the editorial, video, and performance teams to produce high-quality, visually compelling content that drives engagement.Manage assigned social media brands from end-to-end, from ideating, planning to editing and ensuring content is on brand and of consistent quality.Coordinate with the editorial team to ensure that social media content aligns with the overall editorial calendar and publication schedule.Develop content calendars and ensure timely posting across all social media platforms.Build and maintain strong relationships with influencers, content creators, and other media partners.Comfortable in creating and shooting short-form videos from scratch, including first person review and voice over script.Social Media Analytics:Use social media analytics tools to track performance, optimize content, and inform future strategy.Work with Social Media Growth team in executing strategies to enhance social media visibility and drive organic growth.Regularly report on key performance metrics to stakeholders.Innovation & Trends:Stay ahead of industry trends, experimenting with new content formats, tools, and platforms to maintain a competitive edge.Identify and capitalize on emerging social media trends to drive audience growth and engagement.QUALIFICATIONS:4+ years in social media management, ideally within media, lifestyle, or luxury sectors.Educational background in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Communications is preferred.Expertise in content ideation, campaign execution, and platform best practices (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).Strong writing and editorial skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice to brand identity.Proficient in social analytics and publishing tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Emplifi, Brandwatch).Confident in social media editing tools e.g., Canva, CapCut, InShot)Knowledge of the competitive landscape and digital media ecosystem.Ability to multitask, manage projects independently, and work under tight deadlines.Native-level fluency in English is essential.Strong presentation, time management, and organizational skills.A proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude.Immediate availability is a plus.About us BurdaLuxury is one of Asia’s most vibrant and progressive independent media houses.
