SummaryThe Regional Field Manager will lead business within North America; Drive the growth of TUV Rheinland’s business within the region; Contribute to the global strategy development while translating into tactical initiatives which can be executed within the region. This role will contribute to the global strategy development for testing, inspection and certification services (including wireless, emc, safety and others) related to product categories of IT/Audio Video, Household Appliances, Luminaires, Power tools and others. Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesLeading successful Business Stream through setting, engaging, and delivering KPIs that drive performance, production, and profit.

Drive efficiency and improve levels of productivity/billability/utilization within Business Stream. Drive employee engagement, ensuring capability with performance and improvement targets and managing people performance effectively. Ensure that technical standards are achieved and maintained, and that service delivery is undertaken in a safe manner. Meeting the agreed business field commercial targets (revenues + local EBIT). Setting optimal service line portfolio (accredited testing business, training business, accredited auditing business, cross-business including field business). Timely implementation of all appropriate corporate/Business Stream performance improvement tools, monitoring tools, and project management tools.

Determine and provide staff support for Go to Market plans (including USP development) and needed budget, monitor and adjust as necessary. Ensure Company safety and health practices are fully implemented, and best practices achieved within Business Stream. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & RequirementsKnowledge, Skill, & AbilitiesExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internal and external required. Ability to keep up to date with product and industry knowledge and trends, and technical advancements in expertise. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, operations, sales, and marketing functions to advance company services.

Knowledge of standards against which quality systems and/or product audits may be performed. Education Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent education and/or experience. ExperienceComputer literacy required including Microsoft Office applications. Minimum of 10 years related experience in the business stream Sector/TIC Industry at management level. Positively impact and manage business growth, revenues, and P&L. Supervisory Requirements Direct: Manage North America business stream staff. Indirect: N/A PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENTWill work in an office environment. Work may be sedentary, sitting for long periods, working at a computer.

Physical effort may require occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Equipment Used Laptop or Desktop Computer Phone or HeadsetTravel RequiredAbility to travel up to 50% may be required for this position.
