Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent across various departments. Acting as a brand ambassador and strategic partner, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator collaborates with hiring managers to define role requirements, source candidates through multiple channels, and ensure a seamless candidate experience. This role is essential to building a strong talent pipeline that supports JEN COL’s growth and operational goals. QualificationsDemonstrated ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external candidatesStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindsetProficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed)Knowledge of employment legislation and hiring best practicesHigh level of confidentiality, professionalism, and emotional intelligenceAbility to assess candidates for both technical skills and cultural fitStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesExceptional business writing and editing skillsActive listener with the ability to communicate diplomatically and professionallyCritical thinking, analytical decision-making, and sound judgementComputer literacy, including intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is currentEducation & LicensesPost-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experienceRPR or LinkedIn Certified Professional Recruiter designation is an assetCurrently working toward or interested in pursuing a CPHR designation is an assetValid driver’s license ExperienceTwo to five (2 – 5) years of recruiting experience, either in-house or agencyExperience hiring for a variety of roles across departments and seniority levelsFamiliarity with construction industry recruitment is an assetProven track record of managing multiple requisitions and meeting hiring targetsFunctional ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and coordination of offersPartner with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate profilesWrite and post job advertisements on internal and external platformsSource passive candidates through networking, referrals, and online databasesConduct initial candidate screenings and coordinate interviewsMaintain timely communication with candidates and hiring teamsRepresent the company at career fairs, networking events, and recruitment campaignsCollaborate with Marketing and HR to enhance employer branding through social media, job ads, and candidate engagement strategiesBuild and maintain talent pipelines for high-demand roles to support future workforce needsChampion a positive candidate experience and support retention by ensuring smooth handoffs from recruitment to onboardingSupport onboarding efforts to ensure effective transitions for new hiresMaintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to recruitment data (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, turnover), optimize hiring strategies for efficiencyMonitor and keep abreast of legislative changes (e.g., Employment Standards, Human Rights, Privacy legislation) to ensure compliance throughout all recruitment functionsComplete other duties and projects within the HR department as requiredWorking ConditionsOffice atmosphereManual dexterity required to operate computer and peripheralsPeriodic driving of a company vehicle Occasional visits to construction sites
