Location: Wynberg, Cape TownRole PurposeThe Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle from workforce planning and sourcing to selection, offer management, and onboarding. This role partners closely with leaders across all departments to design and deliver effective hiring strategies that support the company’s growth objectives and culture.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in talent acquisition within a fast-paced or high-growth environment, with exposure to tech, product, and digital roles.More about the roleTalent Strategy & PlanningPartner with department heads and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and develop recruitment plans.Provide market intelligence and talent insights to support workforce and succession planning.Ensure alignment of recruitment strategies with business and transformation objectives.Building of Talent Pipeline for all levels and roles within the business unit.Recruitment DeliveryManage the end-to-end recruitment process such as job briefing, advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offer negotiation.Source and attract high-quality candidates using direct sourcing, networking, job boards, and digital platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.).Headhunting for scarce/hard-to-fill roles.Ensure quality and consistency in the application of recruitment policies, procedures and practicesContinuously review recruitment tools, processes and systems with a view to recommend and establish candidate life-cycle best practiceDevelopment of recruitment strategies in consultation with your leader/BU Exec. These strategies must be able to deliver on recruitment targets in accordance with the volume and deadlinesCoordinate interviews and handling of all application from candidates in a professional and timeous manner to ensure an excellent candidate experience throughout the hiring process.Analyse roles to create and/or update role profiles according to the vacancy requirements, experience and skillsCoordinating with hiring managers to identify recruitment improvementsMaintain and update the vacancy tracker and ensure data integrity.Ensuring that efficient feedback is provided to candidates whether they were successful or unsuccessfulSupport the design and delivery of structured and competency-based interviews including screening CV’s, telephonic calls, assessments and in-person interviews.Coordinate and implement relevant assessments and checks (ITC, Criminal, Qualification and Reference) in line with the agreed service levels and communicate results accordinglyEmployer Branding & Talent PipeliningContribute to the company’s employer branding initiatives.Build and maintain a pipeline of future-fit candidates for critical and hard-to-fill roles.Employer branding utilizing media, educational resources, online resources and publications in order to attract the best talent.Continuously update and maintain website, online career portals and intranet and update recruitment templates and documentation.Represent the company at career fairs, universities, and industry events from time to time.Reporting & ComplianceTrack and report on recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate conversion rates, and quality-of-hire).Ensure compliance with EE, POPIA, and other labour legislation.Support HR audits and ensure consistent documentation across recruitment processes.Qualifications and ExperienceGrade 12 essentialBachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related discipline.A minimum of 5 years’ experience in talent acquisition, including familiarity with EVP and employer brandingProven track record in recruiting across varied business areas (e.g., Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, and Data)A minimum of 2 years’ experience focused on tech and product roles.Certification in LinkedIn Certified Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Strategy, or similar will be advantageous.Experience recruiting within Fintech, Financial Services, or Digital Technology sectors advantageous.Good computer literacy skills with a proficiency in MS OfficeExperience in role profiling, competency and behavioral interviewing techniques, assessment toolsKnowledge of and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and Sourcing platforms e.g. LinkedIn, Simplify HR etc.Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, market mapping, and sourcing strategies.Core CompetenciesExcellent interpersonal communication (verbal & written), influence, assertiveness and judgment skills as well as stakeholder engagement skills.Strong planning, organizing and coordinating skillsStrong business acumen and understanding of organisational structures.Analytical thinking and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practicesPerformance-driven and results-orientated with a relentless drive to succeedThe ability to prioritise and multi-task within a fast-paced and pressurised environmentA strong can-do attitude and an energetic positive approachA solid work ethic and a passion for recruitmentGood judgement and decision making informed by critical thinking and problem solving skills
