Essential FunctionsEssential FunctionsSummary:The Swing Shift Tank Lead plays a pivotal hands-on leadership role in overseeing daily welding and fabrication operations related to tank production within a manufacturing environment. This position ensures tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The Tank Lead trains and supervises team members, manages workflow, and collaborates across departments to meet production goals and maintain operational excellence. Hours of operation; 4:30pm – 2:30amAccountabilities: Lead and coordinate the work of tank welders and fabricators on the production floor Schedule and prioritize tank-related welding and assembly tasks to meet production deadlines Perform complex welds and conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications Train, coach, and mentor junior team members and new hires Monitor workflow and ensure adherence to project timelines and safety protocols Review and approve team members’ timecards and manage time punches in the HRIS system Conduct performance evaluations and implement disciplinary actions when necessary Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the tank production area Collaborate with other departments to align tank fabrication tasks with overall production schedules Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and delivery standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Perform other duties as assigned by the Tank Supervisor.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
