Job Description

A permanent full time position commencing 27 January 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach TAS - Food Technology, VET - Cookery and Hospitality (Food & Beverage).The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.Essential Selection CriteriaDemonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in TAS/VET. Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIAQualified to teach stage 5 & 6 Food Technology.Qualified to deliver VET Curriculum Frameworks; Cookery and Hospitality (Food & Beverage)General CapabilitiesWell-developed interpersonal skills.Well-developed oral and written communication skills.Strong organisational skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.QualificationsAppropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCEThis role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.POSITION APPLICATIONApplicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.Closing Date: 6 November 2025 at 3pm
