Additionally, clients benefit from the expertise of our experienced, multilingual team of tax professionals.Thanks to the increasing demand for high-quality compliance services, Tax Desk has rapidly grown to a team of over 55 professionals specializing in tax compliance and technology.We are looking for a Tax Compliance Associate to oversee, maintain, and improve our automated reporting system. This role requires a combination of VAT expertise, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to ensure our platform runs smoothly and remains fully compliant with EU tax regulations.Key Responsibilities:System Oversight & Maintenance: Overseeing and maintaining the automated VAT, EC Sales Listing (ESL), Intrastat and OSS reporting systems to ensure they function smoothly and generate accurate outputs,System Testing & Debugging: Testing and debugging the system, identifying any issues, and resolving them to maintain the system’s robustness and error-free performance,Platform Development & Improvement: Collaborate with the development team to identify opportunities for enhancing the system, automating processes, and improving overall efficiency,Manual Declaration Preparation: In the event of system failure or exceptional circumstances, you will manually prepare and submit VAT returns, EC Sales Listings, Intrastat and OSS reports, ensuring compliance with EU regulations,Client Support & Data Accuracy: Work closely with the Client Management team to ensure accurate data is provided for automated reporting and assist with troubleshooting any VAT reporting-related issues,Documentation & Reporting: Preparing and maintaining clear, comprehensive documentation on system configurations, updates, and procedures,Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaboration across teams is crucial, so you will need to work with teams like Client Management, Operations and Knowledge Team to ensure the smooth operation of the platform and address any issues promptly. Required Skills and Experience:Upper Intermediate level (B2) English,Proven at least 1 year of experience in VAT compliance,Proficiency with Microsoft Excel,Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and manage automated reporting systems,Ability to manage complex data and ensure the accuracy of automated reports,Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations (e.g., system failures),A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
