LOOKING FOR SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS WHO ARE BASED IN SOUTH AFRICA CANDIDATESPosition : Tax CoordinatorWorking Schedule : 8a-6p CSTSalary Range :$1300- $1800 / USD Monthly (the final salary will be determined by the candidate's level of experience and at the discretion of the client)Job SummaryThe Tax Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of administrative, clerical, and technical support tasks essential to the timely and accurate completion of tax and accounting engagements. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, proficiency with specialized tax and accounting software, and strong organizational skills.Key Responsibilities and DutiesTax Administration & FilingSave and distribute final tax returns (including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990, etc.) to clients.Upload draft and final tax packages to Dropbox.Prepare and file extensions with the IRS and state agencies.Crosscheck extension and tax return filings after each tax deadline.Process client e-file authorizations (Form 8879s) and e-file tax returns upon receipt of signed authorizations.Scan or email miscellaneous documents to staff (to forward to clients) as instructed.Copy documents for IRS agents/audits.Prepare HOA tax returns and some small 1040 tax returns.General Office & Administrative SupportPerform clerical work and various other duties as assigned.Save and sort scanned mail.Track the status for all engagement letters.Prepare miscellaneous letters when requested, including but not limited to the IRS and state agencies.Keep the phone system up to date.Software & Database ManagementMaintain and update firm software, including Lacerte (Tax), Sage 50 (Accounting), Quickbooks Desktop, and Pro-System Engagement.Work with IT regarding updates to all software.Set up new clients in all company databases.Time & BillingUpdate and maintain File In Time (FIT) and Timeslips databases.In File In Time: Maintain client databases and perform client adjustments (add, update, change, delete).In Timeslips: Enter and track computer fees for clients, set up new clients, maintain the client database, and send out a weekly Timeslips report to ensure everyone is entering their time.Review and send annual billings for all software to the team for approval.Meetings & ReportingPrepare and distribute weekly staff meeting notes (for reoccurring meetings).Generate FIT staff reports for client status information.Qualifications Experience: 1+ years of experience in an accounting or tax environment, preferably in a corporate setting or public accounting firm.Software Proficiency:Tax Software: Proficiency required (e.g., Lacerte).Accounting Software: Proficiency required (e.g., Sage 50 and Quickbooks Desktop).Knowledge of Pro-System Engagement is a plus.Strong competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) (Added from the previous list for completeness).Core Skills:Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
