Tax Manager (Turkey)

Yandex is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Istanbul office. You’ll be responsible for developing tax strategies, managing audits, advising on complex tax matters, and ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations. The role involves close collaboration with management and cross-border teams, as well as participation in major transactions and tax planning.Tasks that await youDeveloping tax strategyYou will design and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities.Managing compliance and auditsYou will ensure compliance with tax laws and oversee audits, reviews, and controls across multiple tax categories.Advising on tax mattersYou will provide expert input on uncertain tax positions and other complex tax-related issues.Researching complex tax topicsYou will conduct an in-depth analysis of local and international tax issues.Monitoring regulatory changesYou will stay updated on new laws and ensure the company’s practices remain compliant.Reviewing returns and transactionsYou will oversee tax filings and review major business transactions from a tax perspective.Supporting strategic initiativesYou will assist with M&A activity, advise on structuring and integration, and provide support to senior management on tax-related decisions.We expect that youHave deep knowledge and understanding of tax regulation and practiceHave strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAre proficient in English (upper-intermediate or higher)Preferred qualificationsHave experience in a Big Four firmHave experience collaborating with international teams
