About the RoleCargosrate is a Saudi-based digital freight platform transforming how air and ocean freight are searched, booked, and managed. We are hiring a Team Lead to take ownership of our engineering delivery and guide the Backend, Frontend, and QA teams as we continue scaling our platform.ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team (Backend, Frontend, QA).Own the platform’s architecture and overall technical delivery.Design, build, and enhance backend services using Java / Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.Work closely with product and business teams to translate requirements into high-quality releases.Review code, enforce engineering best practices, and ensure proper testing, documentation, and CI/CD workflows.Support cloud infrastructure, system performance, and deployments across AWS / GCP / Azure.Participate in planning, technical roadmap discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements3–5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.Strong backend expertise in Java / Spring Boot, APIs, and SQL databases.Prior experience as a Tech Lead or leading a small engineering team.Solid understanding of microservices, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.Familiarity with frontend technologies (React) and QA/testing workflows is a plus.Excellent communication skills, strong ownership mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.Experience in logistics, supply chain, or digital freight platforms is required.
