Company Description Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) is a global civil society organization with headquarters in Geneva and active missions in countries such as Iraq, Myanmar, Sudan, South Sudan, the Philippines, and Ukraine. NP specializes in protecting civilians in conflict zones through unarmed and nonviolent strategies, working alongside local communities to build peace and provide safety. The organization aims to promote the adoption of unarmed civilian protection approaches as effective alternatives to addressing and mitigating violent conflicts worldwide. NP responds to invitations from local organizations and engages in activities such as facilitating dialogue, securing safe spaces for civilians, and preventing violence during times of crisis. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Team Lead, located in Kharkiv. The Team Lead will oversee and manage field operations, ensure the safety and security of team members, and coordinate with local communities and stakeholders to support conflict resolution and peacebuilding efforts. Responsibilities will include leading field teams, fostering relationships with community members and other organizations, and implementing Nonviolent Peaceforce's strategies for unarmed civilian protection. The Team Lead will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on program outcomes to achieve mission objectives. Qualifications Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and guide a cohesive team in challenging environmentsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in engaging with local communities, stakeholders, and diverse groupsKnowledge of conflict resolution, negotiation, and dialogue facilitation techniquesProblem-solving and critical thinking abilities to adapt to complex and rapidly changing circumstancesWillingness and ability to work and live in conflict-affected environments, and manage risk effectivelyBachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, Human Rights, or a related fieldPrevious experience in unarmed civilian protection, humanitarian aid, or peacebuilding is highly desirableProficiency in English is required; fluency in Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage
