This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the operational excellence of a global production network, working alongside Engineering and Product teams to ensure seamless capacity planning, troubleshooting, and infrastructure development.Job PurposeAs part of our Deploy & Run team, you will be responsible for:Rack and stack of servers and network equipmentFiber and copper cabling, maintenance, and documentationHardware swaps, break/fix, and RMA coordinationPhysical access control and escortingSmart hands support for remote engineering teamsEnvironmental monitoring and incident responseInventory and spare parts management (RFID)Execution of change management and preventive maintenance programsCompliance with ISO, SOC, HIPAA and other industry standardsMonthly audits and implementation of security best practicesDevelopment and maintenance of monitoring and automation toolsNetbox data entry and infrastructure auditingLiaison with facility maintenance and change management teamsWhat You’ll Be Working On:Capacity Planning & Growth: Collaborate on network capacity analysis and expansion projects across data centers and Points of Presence (PoPs)Troubleshooting & Support: Tier 1 support for switch provisioning, server build failures, and physical layer network defectsSite Builds & Operations: DNS mapping, connectivity troubleshooting, automation verification, and network auditsHardware Management: Lead switch swaps, appliance replacements, and RMA processesOptical Network Expertise: Diagnose Layer 1 issues using OTDR, OTLS, VFL, and inspection toolsProject Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams on structured cabling and switch upliftsProcess Improvement: Drive operational excellence through root cause analysis and solution implementationNetwork Optimization: Conduct link stability studies and recommend performance enhancementsInnovation: Participate in internal working groups to evaluate emerging technologiesRequirementsYOUR QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of IP networking, VLANs, routing, optics, and Layer 2/3 protocols5+ years of experience with BGP, MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, Multicast, CoS, TCP, IPv4/IPv6Proven experience in data center environments and network engineering rolesFamiliarity with CLOS architecture and structured cabling (SMF/MMF)Vendor management experience in logistics and infrastructure deploymentRecognizing complex technical relationshipsStrong service orientation and ability to work in a teamConfident use of MS OfficeProficiency in English is a must, Norwegian would be a plusPreferred skills / CertificationsBS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline5+ years of scripting experience (Python, Perl, etc.)Automation tools: Ansible, REST/gRPC, NETCONFNetwork certifications (CCNP, JNCIS or equivalent)Experience with open-source NOS and hardware/software developmentHands-on experience with new hardware platform deploymentBenefitsOUR BENEFITSFuture-proof job opportunity with a true development guarantee at the world´s largest supplier for fully integrated Data Center servicesInternational working environment with inspiring cross-border career opportunitiesTOP trainings with internationally recognized state-of-the-art certificationsAttractive salaries with an annually salary increases + and many other social and monetary benefitsCreative working culture with challenging responsibilities and a high level of autonomyDIVERSITY, OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY and WORK-LIFE BALANCE are practiced values!Do you need more good reasons?
