Job DescriptionGuinness Open Gate Brewery Team Leader (5C)Dublin, IrelandFull-time, permanentSalary: approximately €46,000/year + €2000/year flexible working allowance About The RoleWe're looking for a seasoned hospitality professional and passionate beer advocate to take the lead in day-to-day operations at GOGB, our flagship home for craft and culture in Dublin.As Team lead, you'll help shape a vibrant, welcoming environment that embodies the spirit of Diageo - where every guest leaves inspired by our beer, our people, and our purpose.You'll work closely with the General Manager to deliver operational excellence, elevate guest experiences, and lead a high-performing team that takes pride in every pour and every interaction. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an ambitious individual ready to make a meaningful impact within the beer and hospitality industry.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of the taproom, ensuring seamless service, stock management, event execution, and compliance with all operational standards.People Leadership: Manage, motivate, and develop a team of bar and service staff - fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and exceptional hospitality.Guest Experience Excellence: Set and uphold the highest standards of service and engagement, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable, beer-focused experience that reflects our brand values.Commercial Performance: Drive sales and per capita spend through smart operational decisions, upselling, and innovative guest engagement.Beer Expertise: Partner with our brewery team and guest brewers to manage beer rotations, maintain product quality, and champion beer education among staff and guests.Event Delivery: Coordinate and execute consumer, corporate, and brand events that celebrate beer culture and bring our community together.Culture & Brand Ambassadorship: Lead by example in creating a warm, inclusive, and distinctly Guinness atmosphere - here beer, hospitality, and storytelling come together.Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Diageo and statutory Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Environmental standards.About YouYou are a confident, people-focused leader with a love for hospitality and a deep appreciation of beer. You understand that culture drives performance - and you know how to bring out the best in a team.We're Looking For Someone Who BringsMinimum 2 years' experience in a people management role within hospitality, bar, or restaurant.Proven track record of leading teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and meet commercial goals.Strong operational knowledge - from service standards to stock control and event execution.A genuine passion for beer, with sound knowledge of styles, brewing processes, and flavour profiles.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, train, and engage diverse teams.Flexibility to work across days, evenings, weekends, and special events.Ideally, a recognised qualification in hospitality, management, or a beer-related certification (e.g. Cicerone, Beer Sommelier).Working with UsAt Diageo we celebrate life every day, everywhere.
