We, at Luminor, believe that anyone has the potential to achieve big things and encourage everyone to achieve them – professionally and personally.Whoever you are, and whatever your role is, with Luminor you will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a local banking champion.What You Will Do:Lead the architectural transformation and re-platforming of the corporate banking application.Design, build, and maintain secure, high-quality backend services and APIs, ensuring seamless integration with new React-based frontends.Guide the migration of business logic and data from Ruby on Rails to Java microservices, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, QA, Frontend) to define requirements, refine architecture, and deliver value continuously.Drive best practices in code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud deployment (AWS).Mentor and support engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.Participate in technical spikes, architecture reviews, and strategic planning for scaling the platform.Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and quality standards in a regulated banking environment. Our Tech Stack:Backend: Java 21+, Spring Boot 3+, Ruby on Rails, JRubyFrontend: ReactDatabase: MySQLCloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CDOther: Redis, Active Directory What We Expect: Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Software Architect, or Senior Engineer designing and building scalable, distributed systems in Java and Spring Boot.Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails (legacy systems, migrations, or interoperability).Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and cloud-native development (preferably AWS).Experience with database scaling strategies (multi-tenancy, partitioning, replication).Familiarity with React or willingness to collaborate closely with frontend teams.Proficiency with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to lead by example and mentor others. Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication. What We Offer:Flexibility.
