Maintenance Technician II

The PositionOur growing company has an opening for a Maintenance Technician. The preferred candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing related position with experience performing maintenance operations in support of production operations or job shop machining.

This position may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals (with the wearing of company supplied Personal Protective Equipment). **This is a full-time position supporting both our Glassport and Donora facilities, on a day shift of 7: 00am -- 3: 30pm.

**Responsibilities/Duties Responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes With minimal guidance, perform equipment replacement, repairs, or new equipment installations Safe chemical handling and chemistry transfer using various types of pumps Responsible for performing and/or scheduling the routine preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and resolution of breakdown or out of control situations Responsible for ordering equipment and tools necessary to complete maintenance tasks and projects Perform skilled work in the maintenance, construction, inspection and repair of buildings and equipment Perform maintenance tasks in the electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and roofing trades Complete the set up and operation of machine tools (lathes, grinders, mills, drill presses, etc.

) to repair and/or fabricate parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools Complete and maintain OSHA, DEP or other company regulatory paperwork as required after training Perform other duties as assigned Maintain full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Company Code of ConductRequired Skills Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED) and 4 years of experience, or an Associate Degree or Military Education in a related field and 2 years of experience Must be able to work well in a team Requires occasional heavy lifting of parts up to 50lbs + and up to 100lbs with assistance Operate mobile equipment such as fork truck, scissor or boom lift after training has been successfully completed Ability to read blueprints, provide basic sketches for fabrication and use fundamental measurement tools Knowledge of basic machining, plumbing and electrical capabilities, including troubleshooting reading electrical schematics Use of both specialized and standard computer applications in the performance of duties Ability to work varying schedules and overtime when necessary, including weekend hours and/or eveningsWhat We Offer Competitive pay rates On the job training Paid vacation and 10 US Holidays Medical, dental and vision benefits Short Term / Long Term disability benefits AFLAC supplemental insurances Tuition reimbursement program 401(k) / ESOP retirement plansCandidates selected must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
