Technical Business Analyst

We’re looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support treasury data transformation initiatives within a leading Canadian financial institution. You’ll work closely with business and technology teams to analyze, document, and optimize business rules, data integration, and system workflows — with a strong focus on SQL and data performance.What You’ll DoAnalyze, document, and validate business rules and functional requirementsWrite, test, and optimize complex SQL queries and logic for performanceUse SSIS (Visual Studio) to analyze and enhance data integration packagesCollaborate with developers, testers, and business partners to ensure smooth implementationMaintain project documentation and prioritize deliverables in Agile sprintsIdentify system inefficiencies and recommend improvementsWhat You Bring8+ years’ experience on large-scale projects or operational initiatives4+ years of hands-on data analysis and SQL development experienceStrong SQL optimization and tuning skills across Oracle or SQL Server environmentsExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsNice to HaveBackground in financial services, capital markets, or treasury systemsExperience with Big Data / NoSQL platforms (Hadoop, Spark, HBase, Spark SQL)Familiarity with Agile delivery models and distributed team environments
