You are responsible for ensuring that our plant design, equipment selection, and construction planning are not only technically sound but also bankable and compliant with Philippine regulations. You will bridge the gap between commercial goals and engineering realities, coordinating with EPC contractors, lenders, and government regulators.Your Impact:Engineering Leadership: You will lead the review and approval of all technical studies, including Pre-Feasibility, Detailed Engineering, and Grid Impact Studies, ensuring compliance with ASME, NFPA, IEC, and Grid Codes.EPC & Contractor Management: You will drive the technical side of the tender process, developing scopes of work, evaluating EPC proposals, and managing contractor performance during design and value engineering phases.Regulatory Compliance: You will ensure the project meets strict Philippine standards, integrating environmental mitigation measures (air, water, waste) to satisfy DENR (ECC), DOE, and NGCP requirements.Lender Due Diligence: You will be the primary technical interface for investors and lenders, defending the project’s technology selection, heat rates, and reliability philosophy during due diligence.Project Integration: You will orchestrate the technical interfaces between civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, ensuring seamless integration.RequirementsWe are looking for a seasoned engineer with a deep understanding of thermal power plants and the Philippine energy landscape.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Energy Engineering. A Professional License (REE, RME, PME) is highly preferred.Experience: 10+ years in power generation or heavy infrastructure, with at least 3 years specifically in Coal-Fired Power Plant (CFPP) design, construction, or development.Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of Rankine cycle systems, Boilers, Turbines, BOP, Coal/Ash handling, and Pollution Control Systems.Regulatory Acumen: Proven experience dealing with Philippine agencies such as DOE, ERC, DENR, NCIP, and NGCP.Tech Savvy: Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, ETAP) and MS Office. Ability to leverage AI tools for planning and efficiency.Languages: Fluent in English and Tagalog.Competencies:Strong project management skills with the ability to manage EPC contractors.High ethical standards and professional integrity.Excellent communication skills for high-level technical presentations to lenders and regulators.Practical InformationPosition Title: Technical Manager – Power Projects DevelopmentLocation: Manila, Philippines (with frequent travel to project sites, EPC offices, and government agencies).Employment Type: Full-time, Senior Managerial Level.Reporting: Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.ProcessFeeling that your technical leadership is building something lasting.
