Technical Manager – Raw Material

With a diverse team of experts and a strong commitment to innovation and compliance, SgT ensures quality and safety at every stage of the supply chain—from raw materials to finished goods.Role OverviewLead global technical services for raw materials, overseeing inspections, audits, and product development for 300+ international retail brands. Ensure quality, process consistency, and compliance across all fabric, leather, synthetic, and fiber raw material operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage raw material quality inspections and set technical standards (fabric mills, leather, synthetics, yarns). Develop, consolidate, and deploy SOPs for inspection and technical audits; maintain harmonized internal guidelines. Conduct supplier audits, QMS evaluations, and help maintain ISO and sustainability compliance (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, ZDHC). Deliver technical training programs for inspectors, auditors, and internal QA teams; oversee competency tracking and onboarding. Lead troubleshooting and customer support for manufacturing and quality issues; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions. Oversee compliance testing (REACH, CPSIA, OEKO-TEX, GB, JIS, EN, etc.) and collaborate with laboratories for technical validation. Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s/Master’s in Textile Engineering/Technology. 12–15 years’ experience in raw material QA, inspection, or technical auditing for global brands/service providers. Strong expertise in technical standards (AATCC, ISO, ASTM, EN, GB, JIS), SOP creation, and audit frameworks. Excellent communication, report writing, and analytical skills; able to lead cross-functional collaboration. Proficient in digital reporting tools, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and learning platforms. Willingness to travel frequently for audits and training worldwide.
