In this role, you will translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that enables customers to successfully use and manage ARIS products. Under the guidance of a Senior Lead Documentation Engineer, you will create software documentation and online help that is well written, well structured, and technically accurate.Essential FunctionsDevelop a solid technical understanding of our software products and the underlying technologies.Produce high-quality documentation and online help that is linguistically correct, technically accurate, and easy to follow.Apply best practices in information design, organization, and usability to ensure customer success.Collaborate closely with product teams, developers, and subject matter experts to gather and validate technical information.Create and maintain documentation deliverables in alignment with release schedules and project plans.Estimate workload for assigned tasks, monitor progress, and meet deadlines consistently.Minimum RequirementsThis position requires strong technical, linguistic, and collaborative skills:University degree in technical communication, engineering, computer science, linguistics, or a related field, plus up to 2 years of relevant professional experience.Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.Demonstrated ability to grasp complex technical concepts and explain them clearly.Experience documenting software installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations.Knowledge of HTML, XML, and markup languages is a plus.Experience with documentation tools, version control systems, and graphical tools is highly desirable.Hands-on experience working in an agile development environment.Strong focus on end-user needs and ability to structure information accordingly.Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a distributed international team.Nice to HavesFamiliarity with business process management, process mining, or related fields.At Software AG we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect and fairness where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and employees without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, pregnancy, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion is critical to our success as a global company, and we seek to recruit, compensate, develop, promote, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.
