We work with Fortune 500 companies and top-tier law firms, offering exceptional legal professionals on both flexible secondment and permanent placements.The Opportunity:We are seeking a Technology Transactions Counsel to support a Fortune 500 client’s IT and Digital Legal function on a full-time secondment basis. This is a 3-6 month engagement with a strong likelihood of extension. The role will focus on reviewing, negotiating, and managing a high volume of software, SaaS, and IT procurement contracts.This is a compelling opportunity to work alongside a world-class legal and technology organization at the intersection of innovation and infrastructure—helping to clear a substantial contract backlog while driving strategic technology initiatives forward.About the Client:Our client is a global leader in advanced materials and manufacturing innovation, with a technology-driven culture that emphasizes operational excellence and collaboration across global markets. The IT and Digital Legal team partners closely with procurement and technology stakeholders to support all hardware and software acquisitions for the enterprise.Key Details:Commitment: Full-time, 6–12 month secondment (potential to extend) Location: Remote (U.S.) — Central or Eastern time zone preferred Start Date: Immediate Compensation: $175,000 to $200,000 annualized (W-2 through Tenor Legal, with full benefits) Benefits: Competitive package including healthcare, 401(k) with match, PTO, paid holidays, and moreResponsibilities:Review, negotiate, and redline a high volume of software license agreements, SaaS agreements, MSAs, and professional services contracts (primarily on supplier paper)Analyze SOWs and order forms to identify and mitigate risk, particularly where material terms conflict with existing MSAsPartner with procurement, IT, and vendor management teams to streamline contract flow and clear backlog efficientlyProvide legal guidance on software approvals, data usage rights, open-source considerations, and AI-related data restrictionsHelp improve process efficiency, triage incoming requests in SAP Ariba, and support strategic IT initiatives led by the CIOCollaborate with an experienced paralegal on contract intake, NDAs, and administrative workflowQualifications:JD or equivalent legal qualification; active U.S. bar license7+ years of experience handling software, SaaS, and IT procurement contracts at a top law firm and/or large in-house legal departmentStrong background negotiating vendor-side paper and identifying key risks with minimal supervisionAbility to manage large contract volumes with precision and urgency (40+ contracts per week)Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with non-legal stakeholders across IT, procurement, and vendor managementStrong business judgment, attention to detail, and comfort operating in a fast-moving, process-light environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience advising on AI-related data usage, open-source software, or data governancePrior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technology-driven organizationCollaborative and steady demeanor—someone who can balance relationship-building with executionJoin Us: At Tenor Legal, we're redefining the legal services industry.
